CFAR Internship Information
While CFAR is known for training Marriage and Family Therapists, we accept students from other areas of study. CFAR regularly accepts interns from a wide variety of traditional and virtual schools including La Salle University, Drexel University, and Chestnut Hill College. Currently, CFAR offers both Master’s Level and Bachelor’s Level internship opportunities. Interns are well trained and receive regular supervision to enhance their clinical skills.
CFAR interns are typically required to work for a full 12 month period and dedicate at least 15 hours a week to the organization, but that can vary. Hours are flexible to accommodate various schedules. For MFT interns, supervision is provided by an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate training to become an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Similarly, Art Therapist interns are supervised by a registered, board certified art therapist. We take interns throughout the year. Interviews are typically held at least 3 to 4 months before the start time, though that can vary. If you have any questions about the CFAR Internship Program, please email cfar@cfarcounseling.org
