Center for Families and Relationships is thrilled to announce that we have opened new outpatient offices within the Project HOME Helen Brown Community Center in the heart of North Philadelphia today! We are proud to bring over 30 years of experience to an area that is in dire need of CFAR services, which includes individual, family, and couples therapy.
CFAR has been seeking to open a new site for years, in order to improve access to our services in targeted communities and to be able to serve more clients in general. Thanks to a grant from Pew Charitable Trusts, CFAR was able to move the goal of opening a new site to the top of the priority list. Project HOME had been seeking to add high quality mental health services, and CFAR was a natural choice. Once CFAR and Project HOME began collaborating, it was only a matter of time before we landed on a successful plan. It’s been a whirlwind of paperwork, setting up offices, and hiring an excellent team, and now the site is finally open on Monday, April 21, 2025! The hours will be a mix of in-person and virtual from Monday-Friday 11am-7pm, and the therapists already have clients scheduled.
CFAR therapists specialize in relationships and are trained to include family members in treatment, especially when working with children. This unique “systems approach” engages all members of the family and supports intergenerational healing and growth. We know that our innovative approaches and excellent reputation will make for great success at this new location.
