Center for Families and Relationships (CFAR) is proud to have George H. Morse IV on the Board of Directors. His passion for community engagement is invaluable as CFAR works to educate and serve vulnerable Philadelphia communities around trauma and mental health. George comes to CFAR with an incredible history. He chose a career path in law enforcement and serves as a Deputy Sheriff Sergeant in Philadelphia and began to recognize the urgent need for a cultural shift to safeguard the youth, from the pipeline to prison and systemic risk factors. This is a cause George has remained committed to over the years. George currently serves as a Mentor & Health & Wellness Committee Leader with the 100 Black Men of Philadelphia Chapter, on the Greater Philadelphia YMCA Branch Advisory Board, on the NAACP State Conference Criminal Justice Committee, on the Philadelphia Police Foundation’s Market Street Run for Blue Committee, and as a Vice Captain with the Philadelphia Chapter of Black Men Run. George brings a collaborative approach to projects and to challenges that we face in our society. He’s also a dynamic public speaker and a passionate public safety advocate. You can see the passion George has for his community in some of these interviews where he has been featured:
