CFAR JUNE 2023 NEWSLETTER

CFAR Logo

The mission of Center for Families and Relationships is to strengthen and build resiliency in families by providing individual, family and couples counseling utilizing a holistic approach to treatment. We are partners in parenting, empowering members of the family to make a permanent, positive change towards becoming productive members of their own families, and of our community as a whole.

Organizational News

With over 1,200* active clients, CFAR is always working to assure that we have systems in place to accommodate our client needs. To that end, we are working on updating our website, improving our telehealth platform, and developing a better client portal. Stay tuned for more news about these wonderful updates!

We’ve welcomed an incredible cohort of 10 interns from La Salle University, Chestnut Hill College, Walden University, and Antioch University. Interns at CFAR are well trained and receive regular supervision to enhance their clinical skills, and many of them are so happy with their experience that they stay on as staff. We can’t wait to see what this new cohort will accomplish!

Georgeann Moore has joined the CFAR Board of Directors! Georgeann currently works at Mount Sinai, serving as the Senior Director of Education and Alumni Relations. In this role, she oversees the fundraising for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the Graduate School, and the Nursing School. Georgeann brings her passion for relationship building and her skill for fundraising to her board role, and we are incredibly luck to have her join CFAR during this period of incredible growth!

*Correction: Please note that the May 2023 newsletter indicated 2,800 clients every month, but it should have indicated 2,800 client hours every month.
